Rent a Tesla by the month

A month-long rental is useful when you need a car for longer than a trip but don’t want to buy or sign a multi-year lease. Typical situations include:

• Relocating to the Bay Area and getting settled before buying a car.
• A work assignment, internship or extended visit of one to several months.
• Being between cars, or waiting for a new vehicle to be delivered.
• Living with a Tesla for a while before deciding whether to buy one.

You choose a preferred model — Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X or Cybertruck — or tell us you’re flexible. You then share a model-year range, start date, duration, pickup area, budget and expected mileage. If there is a potential match, we come back with an offer that names the actual vehicle, availability, full price and terms. You decide only after reviewing it.

The request form offers 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4–6 months and 7+ months, or “not sure.” Longer stays can be requested; the length offered depends on the matched vehicle.

You can name a model-year range and say whether alternatives would work. Indicative pilot base rates are shown for some Model 3 and Model Y year groups; other models and special configurations need a quote. We cannot guarantee a particular trim, colour or year.

Tell us roughly how far you expect to drive per month. Any offer states its mileage allowance and any charge for extra miles before you decide. Commute distance and weekend trips usually matter more than you expect over 30 days.

Coverage is confirmed in each offer, not at request time. Optional follow-up questions ask whether you have personal auto insurance and how you’d prefer to handle coverage; your answers are recorded as you give them and do not verify any policy. A monthly rental is meant to be shorter and more flexible, but typically costs more per month than a long-term payment. Which is better depends on how long you need the car.

Can I rent a Tesla for one month?

Yes, one month is the shortest duration in the request form. Availability is confirmed with an offer.

Can I rent for several months?

Yes. You can request 2, 3, 4–6 or 7+ months.

Can I request a specific Tesla model or year?

Yes. Choose the model and a year range and say whether alternatives would work. We cannot guarantee a specific configuration.

Is insurance included?

Coverage is not decided at request time. Each offer states what coverage applies and what you would need to provide.

Can I request FSD or Premium Connectivity?

You can tell us they matter to you. Whether they are available on a matched car is confirmed in the offer.
