Model Y
Rent a Tesla Model Y by the month
The Model Y is Tesla’s compact crossover SUV. Through the TeslaRent.App pilot you can request one for a month or longer in Silicon Valley, choose a model-year group, and see the indicative base rate we are testing.

Who a Model Y may suit
People often choose a Model Y when they want a higher seating position, a hatchback and more flexible cargo space — for example when moving in with luggage, shopping for a new apartment, travelling with family, or carrying sports gear on weekends. If you mostly drive alone and want the lowest monthly rate, compare the Model 3.
Passengers and cargo
The regular Model Y is a five-seat crossover with a rear hatch and fold-down rear seats. If you need more seats, the request form lets you indicate a seating need; any offer will confirm the actual seat count of the matched car.
Regular Model Y or Model Y L
In the request form you choose a body configuration: Regular Model Y, Model Y L (the extended, six-seat version), or no preference. Model Y L and “no preference” requests are quoted individually; the rates below apply only to the regular Model Y.
Model-year groups and indicative pilot rates
For the regular Model Y, the form groups years as 2020–2022, 2023–2025 (original design) and 2026–2027 (refreshed design), plus “any year / not sure.”
| Model years | Indicative base rate / 30 days |
|---|---|
| 2020–2022 | $1,090 |
| 2023–2025 · original design | $1,290 |
| 2026–2027 · refreshed design | $1,490 |
Indicative base rate—not a quote. Taxes, coverage, mileage allowance, deposit, and any other charges will be confirmed with an offer. These are pilot test rates, not confirmed inventory.
Charging and expected mileage
Tell us whether you can charge at home or at work and how many miles you expect to drive per month. Both shape whether a Model Y fits your month; see charging a rental Tesla in Silicon Valley.
Driver assistance and connectivity
You can say whether FSD (Supervised), Premium Connectivity or phone-key app access matter to you. Features vary by individual car and are not inferred from the model year; an offer confirms what the matched vehicle has.
